Calendar

  • July 15 is the last player registration date
  • July 21 - Each Tuesday and Thursday @ 5:30 pm : Open Practice for AYSO soccer players  - We need coaches to help- Location OWMS [This is not a meeting]

Player Evaluation Forms


AYSO Region 7 Team Referee Guidelines

  • Each team must supply a referee.
  • For the competitive divisions referee participation determines if your team will participate in the play-offs.
  • 12 Points are needed by the end of the season
  • Combined, your team's referee(s) must have completed 3 games as Center Referee.
  • Contact the referee schedulers for more detailes. See the referee page for detials.

 Coach Training and Certification

  • Please Read the AYSO National Certification Policy.pdf
  • Region 7 is asking all volunteer coaches and assistent coaches to try and get their required training completed early. By June 30, 2008
  • Region 7 only has 3 sessions scheduled this year and as September nears all other regions courses fill up. So please take the time and complete it early.
  • AYSO requires you to have "Youth Certification" for Intermediate and Advanced Coach Training. Completing all U6-U12 training satisfies this requirement.
  • Ayso Training dates and locations
  1. Go to www.eayso.org
  2. Select the "LookUp" menup (Upper right Side)
  3. Select Course (second from the bottom)
  4. This will bring up a search screen that allow you to find a course anywhere in the US
  5. I'd suggest at a minimum: input State->CA, Course Start and end dates July -> Sept, Select the course training you are looking for
  6. Select search.
  7. Pick a course and register for it.
            Training sessions for 2008 have been completed.  Check back for updates.

Coach Registration Steps:



        1) Complete the adult volunteer form:

  • Go to www.eayso.org to complete the form
  • Make sure to check Team Coach or assistant coach

         2) Print 2 Copies:

         3) Deliver two copies (signed in blue ink)

  • The Region 7 Registrar - See the contact list for an email address
4) Send the following information to rca@ayso7.org
a) Last Name
b) First Name
c) Home Phone
d) Cell Phone
e) Email address
f) Indicate  Boys or Girls
g)Indicate  Divisions
h) Indicate coach or Asst. Coach
5) Get your Ayso ID from the Coach Administrator (rca@ayso7.org) or your division commissioner or the CVPA

4) Complete the on-line Safe Haven
5) Attend the appropriate level of training: It's required!
 

Coaching Materials and Assistance
Assistance:
       Have you had a long day at practice? Are the players just wild and crazy?  
       Would you like some assistance?  

       Region 7 is in the process of starting two things that we think will help

       1) Coach and Player Clinics 
             2pm at Neilson Field - Exact dates are TBD, Trying for 1st and 3rd Sundays
       2) Coaching Pool.  There are a number of coaches that are willing to help. 
             Either to discuss your practice strategy, help particiate at your practice and game

Spring League

  • The Spring League Commissioner is Brian Jones (ARC@ayso7.org)
  • Turn in a copy of your player registration form to Brian Jones - Location is TBD
  • Brian will be handling team formation and overall coordination for Spring League
